Gear check complete! My bag came in at 9kg which was what I was hoping for. It seems like a lot but I trained with weight often and each day it will get lighter as I eat through my food and electrolytes. I barely slept last night due to nerves so I'm hoping I'll at least get a good nights sleep tonight before stage 1.

Arrived in San Pedro last night and I'm having a blast meeting several of my fellow runners. Spent all morning repacking my food and arranging my gear and I'm happy to report everything fits with plenty of room to spare! Can't wait get underway in less than 48 hours!!

So excited to have arrived here in Chile, it finally feels real!! Can't wait to meet more of my fellow competitors today when I fly up Calama and head to the host town of San Pedro De Atacama. Feeling good and looking forward to finally preparations before heading out to camp 1 on Saturday.
